Since the bag world has mostly atwitter (literally and figuratively) around the new Proenza Schouler leather satchel on the PS1 in the last week or two, another addition to the line has snuck its website brand is just below Radar: the Proenza Schouler PS1 pouch bag crossbody.

We know that the debut of this project was coming because the brand is included in the Resort 2011 shots courtesy, but now it is here and is available for purchase for $ 1225. The crossbody comes in two colors, materials and three so far: tobacco suede, green tobacco and leather. I love the green, but I’m going to wait until the rest of the pieces that come Proenza resort before making purchasing decisions. Also, I would not mind a black on black version of this bag, which should see some time in the future. (Ok, so it can be a bit of magical thinking. So I look at this bag for a while. I continue to look at it and everything that pops into my mind is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving dinner table is always decorated appropriately and I feel like this year could add this DvF bag in the central and it would work beautifully. I’m not sure that is one good thing about the bag though.

In fact, we see a different incarnation of this bag in the past – in which most of you considered insane. But this version of the Diane von Furstenberg Piper Day Bag is designed with the correct color scheme in mind. And this may be the saving grace.

I’ll take the gray skin with pheasant feather trim, black side / white paillettes, and gold hardware on the blue / black version every day. Every aspect of this bag is rather annoying, but somehow it works somewhat. Any outfit you wear with this bag should be as weak as they come, so that the madness of this bag can try to work for you instead of against you. There is so much mixing going that this project will prove too much for most to handle. And if it is too much for you to handle, I would suggest adding to your Thanksgiving decorations?
